Sheffield Retired Greyhounds have the aim of providing fully vetted and loving homes for as many retired Greyhounds as possible, so that these beautiful animals can continue to live a full and enjoyable life at the end of their racing careers..
We operate one of the largest regional home-finding kennels in the UK dedicated to the re-homing of greyhounds. Based at Rotherham Gate Lodge in Wortley we are home to 26 greyhounds at any one time

Can all visitors to our kennels please wait outside of the entrance where a member of staff will come and assist you.
Adoptions/adoption queries are by appointment only. If you wish to adopt please complete and return a pre-adoption questionnaire which can be found below or email us at sheffieldretiredgreyhounds@outlook.com. You will then be offered an appointment to visit us.
Teeth and Nail checks are by prior appointment only and please be aware that adoptions take priority so there may be a long waiting list for appointments. We can only offer weekday appointments at the moment
VOLUNTEER DOG WALKING
Unfortunately, we have had to make the difficult decision to make a few changes in how our kennels operate. Due to the continued risk of Covid-19 we will no longer be able to accept members of the public for general dog walking. We are deeply saddened to have to make this decision; our volunteer dog walkers are an intrinsic part of our lives and have contributed a great deal to our branch. Our dogs will now be walked daily by a small team of volunteers.
We hope that you all continue to stay safe and well and we are looking forward to finding forever homes for all our greyhounds who have waited so patiently to meet their new families.
Expert guidance will always be given to ensure that your new family member is the right dog for you.
